Caretaker Manager Ady Williams has told his Swindon Town side to have a real desire and be positive.

Talking about the goalkeeping situation it appears that Williams as well is hoping to bring in another keeper to back up Phil Smith who made a fantastic save to ensure Swindon the 3 points last weekend at Shrewsbury. ‘Phil deserves his chance after doing well at Shrewsbury Town last weekend. He did absolutely nothing wrong last time out and he has the shirt now. We will be looking to bring another goalkeeper to the club because we do need that competition and a back-up keeper – but that won’t be until next week I wouldn’t have thought.’

Jerel Ifil will miss Saturday’s game against Lincoln after picking up his 5th red card of the season. Williams has passed on some words of wisdom to the defender, ‘Jerel Ifil will be a massive loss for us on Saturday. I have enjoyed playing alongside him and he seems to have learnt a lot as the season has progressed. He has been in great form and he has been fantastic. The only thing I have said to him is that I’d like him to cut down the bookings, but there is no doubt we will miss him.

After a busy and turbulent week at the County Ground Williams says he wants positivity from his players. ‘We will cope with what we have and I am looking for a positive reaction from the players. I want them to show passion, commitment and a real desire out there on Saturday and we will do everything we can to get the result we all want,’
