Swindon Town travel to the Liberty Stadium to play high flying Swansea City in a crucial battle that should feature former Town favourite Rory Fallon.

Vital Quotes:

Swansea City Team News:

Swansea come off a 3-2 loss to Port Vale over the weekend. The Swans have had a busy couple of weeks. They have won two pieces of silverware the FAW Cup and the Football League Trophy. The Football League Trophy victory was overlooked by many fans who chose to pay attention to the idiotic antics of Lee Trundle who decided to walk around the pitch with a t-shirt bearing a swansea player urinating on a cardiff player. Trundle along with Alan Tate also wondered around the pitch with a flag featuring four letter expletives towards Cardiff.

Player to watch: Rory Fallon

Fallon who joined Swansea from Swindon for £300,000 in January had not fared well at the start of his Swans career. In the last week however he has scored 2 goals. Fallon scored 14 goals for Swindon prior to the transfer. Fallon will be looking to sting his former club and look to send them closer to League Two.

Swindon Town Team News:

Swindon will be without Paul Smith and Trevor Benjamin due to injuries. Ex- Swansea defender Andy Gurney is ruled out due to a suspension. Swindon are not expected to get anything from this game given their recent form. A point would be a good result for Town.

Player to watch: Jerel Ifil

Jerel had a sub-par game against Hartlepool on the weekend and if Town are to have any chance, Jerel needs to be at his best to shut down a combination of Knight, Akinfenwa, Trundle and Fallon.

Match Facts & Stats

Swindon Town and Swansea City drew 0-0 at the County Ground on New Years Eve. Swindon could have easily won this game if Charlie Comyn-Platt had not seen a late effort go wide.

Match Prediction:

Very hard to chose what the score will be. Swansea are brilliant at home whilst our away record speaks for itself. I’m going to be optomistic and say 1-1 with a win against MK Dons the following Saturday.

Next Fixtures:

Swindon Town v Brentford at the County Ground Saturday 15th April at 3pm at The County Ground.
