Preston easily dismissed Chesterfield 4-0 on aggregate in the League One playoff semi-final. Preston will be without Callum Robinson who returned to Aston Villa following the conclusion of his loan spell at the club. Lethal goal scoring duo of Joe Garnet and Jermaine Beckford are expected to give Town a torrid time at the back. PNE have sold around 22,000 tickets for the match.

League One’s top goal scorer with 26 goals. Garner also scored a hat trick already against Swindon in the 3-0 defeat to Preston about a month ago.

Louis Thompson is fit to return after being given permission by Norwich City to play. Nathan Thompson faces a late fitness test on an hamstring injury he picked up in the 2nd leg against Sheffield United. Harry Toffolo could return to the fold. Town won their League One playoff semi final 7-6 on aggregate after the bizarre 5-5 draw last week.
