Swindon Town travel to Peterborough in the hope of continuing their unbeaten run in the league. Town have yet to lose a league game in 2007.

Vital Quotes:

‘I’m not really interested in that. At the end of the day there`s no way you can take your foot off it.’
Swindon Town manager Paul Sturrock

Peterborough United Team News:

Peterborough United have captured Dagenham & Redbridge duo Craig Mackail-Smith and Shane Blackett after helping to lead them to the top of the Conference 9* points clear of second play Oxford United. United have signed Hartlepool United midfielder Gavin Strachan on a short term deal until the end of the campaign. Peterborough have been through a period of change after naming Darren Ferguson the new first team manager. Ferguson is the son of Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson.

* – Oxford United are 9 points behind first place going into their game against Rushden & Diamonds

Player to watch: Craig Mackail-Smith

Mackail-Smith may be a new signing but has scored 15 goals this season in league matches with Conference leaders Dagenham And Redbridge prior to joining the Posh.

Swindon Town Team News:

Town Boss Paul Sturrock is likely to choose the same side that beat Macclesfield 2-0 on the weekend. Andy Caton, Peter Brezovan, Jamie Vincent and Paul Evans are all out with injuries and will not feature. Should Town win and Walsall draw or lose tomorrow against Macclesfield, who handed the Saddlers their first loss of the season, Swindon Town will return to the top of League 2.

Player to watch: Lee Peacock

“Super” Lee Peacock has been a force in midfield and scored an excellent free kick on Saturday to secure the 3 points for Swindon. Town fans will be hoping for a repeat of his exploits.

Match Facts & Stats

Swindon Town were defeated at The County Ground earlier in the season 1-0 thanks to a goal from former Town loanee, Trevor Benjamin. Town are a lifetime 18-12-18 against The Posh.

Match Prediction:

Peterborough have lost 8 straight, however teams who are poor tend to be a banana skin for Swindon. We will be optomistic though and say a 3-1 win for Swindon Town with a late consolation goal from The Posh.
