Swindon Town have confirmed the departure of their management trio to Plymouth Argyle.

The Swindon Advertiser has revealed that the club will likely received a £500,000 compensation payment from Plymouth for Paul Sturrock, Kevin Summerfield and John Blackley.

Argyle will hold a press conference at 1pm this afternoon to confirm Sturrock as their new manager.

  • It’ll pay part of the CVA for a start – just £400,000 to go…..

Sorry, it will probably get lost in the Wills’ finances somewhere!!

  • Thats a bit harsh. The Wills have lost money over the years by backing Swindon, and digging us out of many a hole. Them pocketing the cash would be a partial recompensation. I’m not saying they managed finances well whilst in charge, but they clearly havent made anything from the club

  • I refuse to believe that the Wills’ family have ever made a “loss” from the club – I am sure it has been more than covered by the shareholder dividends.
