Former Swindon Town skipper Hasney Aljofree is looking to leave the club as soon as possible according to his agent.

Talking to SkySports, agent Clive Hart touted his client by saying that ‘Hasney is looking at his options this month as he wants to move on in search of a new challenge’ – It is also believed that Swindon will allow the Blackley born player to leave on a Free Transfer if an approptiate offer is made by a club.

It’s been long rumoured that Aljofree was looking for a move closer to his native Manchester.

Aljofree was signed by Paul Sturrock from Plymouth Argyle in 2007 for a small fee. He started well and soon became skipper but his form and fitness dropped dramatically under Maurice Malpas.

With Town struggling, Aljofree hit out at fans during a match and claimed that he and his teammates were ‘a bit scared to play’ at the County Ground in fear of letting the fans and themselves down!

So far this season Hasney Aljofree has yet to feature in the first team and has made a couple of appearances in the reserves.

Can’t blame him – his days are over here as a first choice player, I have mixed feelings over him, he started off well under PS then seem to fade quickly, to the point then of where those comments were made.
and of course his injury etc.. – Best for all he moves on ..

I don’t think the ground staff could have done more, i think it is likely that the surrounding area of the ground have been considered unsafe by the police and local authority and that is out of control of the football club.

You would like to think that if you are not in the team then the challenge is there for you to do exactly that.
