Things Are Iffy At Gillingham!

Former Swindon Town boss Iffy Onuora has been named caretaker manager of Gillingham along with Mick Docherty.

Onuora who helped get Town relegated from League One during the 2005/06 season by bringing in useless signings like strikers Trevor Benjamin and Chris McPhee will get his second shot to save a team from League One relegation.

To Onuora’s credit he did bring in Hameur Bouazza on loan from Watford during his spell as manager at Swindon after replacing the inept Andy King.

The good news is that with Onuora in charge relegation for Gillingham is a very realistic prospect. If anyone watched Big Ron Manager where ‘Ron goes Iffy’ they will soon know why.

Onuora was sacked at the end of the 2005/06 season and replaced by Dennis Wise who took more money and went up north to relegate Leeds.
