Swindon Town Are Bringing TacheBack!

Justin Timberlake may be bringing sexyback however the players of Swindon Town who many call the new ‘crazy gang’ are bringing the TacheBack and now you can get involved in this worthwhile cause.

What The Players Are Doing

The players involved locked away their razors on the Saturday morning prior to the Crewe game on September 1st and will be growing a moustache throughout the month. If you would like to sponsor their efforts then click here

Jamie Vincent, Craig Easton, Phil Smith, Alex Rigley, Lee Peacock, Hasney Aljofree, Jerel Ifil and Sofiene Zaaboub will be binning their razors from 1st September – for a month – and growing some upper lip fuzz in order to raise money for research into male cancer.

Swindon Town midfielder (part-time striker) Lee Peacock said after the press launch at the County Ground.

‘It’s for a great cause and the lads taking part are all looking forward to it. I personally favour the handlebar look myself – and although I’ve dabbled in the facial hair before, this will give me another opportunity to try out a few designs! It would be great to see our fans supporting the Tacheback campaign too. Imagine a Town End full of taches for the Bournemouth game at the end of September!’
A new survey carried out by Everyman has revealed that a third of blokes (36%) credit Tom Selleck – Magnum – with sporting the most impressive tache and TacheBack encourages men to emulate him, whilst helping to raise over £200,000 for vital research into testicular and prostate cancer.

There will also be a bucket collection for the Everyman Charity at the last home game of September with AFC Bournemouth the visitors on Saturday 22nd September.

Taking part is easy. Just register at the website www.tacheback.com and get everyone you know to sponsor you to grow upper-lip fuzz throughout September. You may even like to gather together a manly tache-growing team! All money raised through TacheBack helps fund research at The Everyman Centre – Europe’s first and only centre dedicated to male cancer research, and part of The Institute of Cancer Research.
