Swindon Town will play League One football next season after losing to Brentford in the dreaded penalty shoot out at Griffin Park.

We won’t go too much into the match as everyone knows the result now but Town were shocking in the first half.

Being at the match the atmosphere was incredible and when Aden Flint scored ‘that’ goal to send it to extra time, I have never seen such jubilation on Swindon Town fans faces.

Kevin MacDonald did well with his substitutions to get the game back on track.

Whilst Miles Storey missed the penalty that cost Town a trip to Wembley, most fans will now be relieved this topsy turvy season is finished.

Swindon now head into an off-season of uncertainty as many of the senior squad are out of contract.
