Swindon Town took a 2-0 lead against Championship side Crystal Palace before having to settle for a 2-2 draw. Strikes from Christian Roberts and Jerel Ifil at one stage gave Town a well earned 2-0 before half time.
Palace who looked rejuvinated after going down 2-0, erased the deficit with goals from Sandor Torghelle and Gary Borrowdale.
There were no real injury concerns during this game except to Jack Smith who suffered a bruised hand that was swollen up after the game. After a visit to the hospital it was revealed that his hand is NOT broken.
Manager Dennis Wise seemed happy with the team’s efforts. After the exciting match Wise spoke to the official website and said, “I was really pleased with the team today. Overall I thought we created a lot of chances and were worthy of the draw at least.
“Christian took his goal well and the strikers are scoring goals. He is looking lean, fit and I’m pleased he is doing so well.” Wise finished.

looks like roberts is in shape mentally and physically to be our main goalscorer next season, fingers crossed he can stay injury free
Well from what I saw, we have a completely different team from last season. They were fit, creative and passed the ball well. Defence was good and Ifil is a different player. I can’t wait until August. If we play like that in most games we will go up as Champions.
all looking good , hope we beat reading
Weston really stood out, only 19 years will be one for the future. i was impressed by Roberts as well.
