Former Swindon Town hero ‘Super’ Sam Parkin has been linked with a move to League One side Millwall following Luton Town`s relegation to League Two.

Parkin returned to his fine goal scoring ways towards the end of the season and has always said he wants to play at the highest level possible.

Luton Town are in a financial mess now and start the League Two season on -10 points. Luton Boss Mick Harford has stated that the whole team is up for sale following the clubs relegation and that any offer will be listened to.

A move to Millwall may appeal to Parkin as it is close to his London home.

Parkin scored over 70 goals for Swindon over 3 seasons at the County Ground before sealing a big money switch to Ipswich Town after the 2004/05 season.

Super Sammy spent the next 2 seasons on the sidelines due to a consistent ankle injury before returning to his goal scoring ways against Leeds United towards the end of the last campaign.

Swindon Town fans had been hoping that new Swindon chairman Andrew Fitton would bring Parkin back to the County Ground however Fitton stated that a Parkin return was not on the cards and that ‘you should never go back’.
