The Argus newspaper is reporting that Brighton and Hove Albion are set to make an ‘audacious’ bid for Swindon Town captain Gordon Greer. audacious is about right!

The Scotsman joined Swindon last summer on a Free Transfer from Doncaster Rovers after a loan spell that saw Greer help Town avoid relegation from League One to League Two.

The Argus believe that former Swindon assistant manager Gustavo Poyet is a fan and prepared to make a bid for Greer, who still has a year left on his current contract.

Town chairman Andrew Fitton has always stated that every player has a price; but what would it take for them to allow the club captain to exit SN1?
