There was growing uncertainty over the former Everton’s defender future, but O’Hanlon has insisted that negotiations are underway to make sure that he remains a Swindon player for the 2006/2007 season.

O’Hanlon signed for Swindon after a successful loan period in early 2004 and has produced some superb defensive performances. The arrival of new management team Dennis Wise and Gus Poyet seems to have helped influence O’Hanlon in his decision.

The news comes as a huge boost as the club prepare a push for promotion back to League One next season.
