Rumours of Tommy Mooney’s impending return to the County Ground are far wide of the mark.

Speculation had grown amongst Swindon Town fans that Tommy Mooney was set to sign a One Year contract with the Wiltshire club.

Various people had said they had seen the striker who scored 20 goals during the club’s playoff season three season’s ago at the County Ground. Mooney was not at the County Ground. It has been reported that Mooney was returning from holiday and was no where near Swindon

Mooney went from hero to zero when he left the County Ground after the 2003/04 season and headed to local rivals Oxford United.
Mooney is currently under contract for another season with Wycombe Wanderers.

    Not sure how you arrive at that ‘Wallis’ but still, I think we can do better with a younger player. Mooney WAS good in his day. admittedly very experienced though which would be good for our youngsters.. but no we’ll pass on this one I hope.
