Sky Sports are reporting that Swindon Town are set to offer former Leeds United goalkeeper David Lucas a contract.

Lucas, who had an outstanding game at Swindon this season, was released after failing to oust Casper Ankergren as Leeds’ number 1.

The 31 year old started his career with his hometown club, Preston North End, making 123 league appearances before joining Sheffield Wednesday after two successful loan spells.

He joined Leeds after a brief spell at Barnsley. He made only 16 appearances for the Whites in his two seasons in West Yorkshire.
