Seven former Swindon Town players were involved in the Play-Offs this weekend. Curtis Weston played 27 league games for Swindon under Dennis Wise and Paul Sturrock before the latter released him in the summer of 2007. The midfielder is now at Gillingham (via a short stay at Leeds United) where he was selected in the starting eleven for their 1-0 win against Shrewsbury Town.

Former Town loanees Mark McCammon (4 appearances in 2000) and Albert Jarrett (6 appearances in 2006) were unused subs for Gillingham.

Shrewsbury Town started with former Town loanee (and a transfer target over recent years) Graham Coughlan in defence. The veteran Irishman played his first professional 1st team games in England for Swindon way back in 1997 under Steve McMahon.

Moses Ashikodi came on for Shrewsbury as an injury time sub for Chris Humphrey. Ashikodi played 10 times for Swindon in 2008 for Maurice Malpas.

In League One, Gary Alexander experienced the highs and lows of the Wembley experience. He grabbed a brace for Millwall including a stunning long distance effort before missing a sitter and then witnessing his team lose 3-2 to Scunthorpe United.

Finally, Brian Howard‘s Premiership dream was shattered by Burnley. The former Town midfielder, who played 83 league appearances with Swindon between 2003-2005, played 82 minutes for Sheffield United before being replaced by Italian striker Arturo Lupoli.
