Out of favour midfielder Curtis Weston has told the local media he wants an official release from Swindon Town so he can sort out a club for next season.

Weston who came to Town under former boss Dennis Wise barely featured under Manager Paul Sturrock and has been told he has no future at the club.

Weston has a lot of pace and added something in midfield but Sturrock had noted that he knew how Weston should play whilst Weston had his own ideas how he should play.

I’ve been trying to get hold of the manager to see if Swindon are going to release me.

I need a letter to say I’ve been released so other clubs know that I’m available.

I don’t understand Sturrock at times, just let him go and hopefully he will get signed by a club that can enhance his talent, personally sturrock baffles me at times as there are other players I would rrelease over him. Hope Wise signs him.

I think PS builds his teams with certain types of players and it would appear Weston doesn’t fit the mould. With PS’s past record of promotion sides who am I to argue.

it is based on opinion, I think we should have kept Curtis. This season will be the test for Sturrock and how good a manager he is.
