The wish of all Swindon Town fans has come true. Bristol Rovers will be ground sharing with Cheltenham Town next season.

A statement on the official Bristol Rovers website confirmed the decision much to the relief of Swindon Town fans as well as the general public in Swindon.

Bristol Rovers chairman Ron Craig said ‘The decision to share with Cheltenham was made with fans in mind, as it is the easiest option for travelling.

‘We also had to take financial aspects into account, and the quality of the pitch was also a consideration.

‘We would like to thank Swindon Town and Yeovil Town for their cooperation during this time, and we look forward to working closely with Cheltenham in the coming months.’

This is great news for Swindon. Should a ground share happened between the 2 clubs there was a good chance of violence every other week in Swindon with Rovers and Swindon fans clashing as they have done in the past when the 2 teams have met in Swindon.

Swindon Town are still considering ground share options with Bristol and Bath Rugby Clubs.

We shall be praying for you Cheltenham fans and if you are season tickets holders, physically take your seats home with you cause with those mongs sharing with you it might not be there when you go back. Good luck to you

Was a non-starter from the beginning – just at the time we needed the extra cash – hopefully not the case now.
At least if the rugby is played here we will not have the policing costs and its associated problems.
