Sturrock’s three goals in seven league starts helped Town win promotion and persuaded his father to offer him a longer deal.
Paul Sturrock said: ‘Blair showed signs of what he can do last season and he is now back to full fitness and raring to go. He should compliment the mix of strikers we are aiming to bring to the club.’
Currently Blair is the only fit striker Swindon have to start the season. Barry Corr is recovering from a back injury and the deal for ‘Bayo’ Akinfenwa still hinges on the result of a second medical, due within the next couple of days.
