Swindon Town duo Andy Caton and Alex Rigley will be given contract extensions to December 2007.

Caton who was in former manager Dennis Wise’ first team before leaving for Leeds has suffered another injury setback after it was decided that the young striker can have an extra season on his scholarship after missing all of last season due to injuries suffered in a car accident.

Caton made his debut against Wrexham in August 2004 scoring a goal in his debut for Town.

Rigley had been instrumental in Town`s youth team reaching the FA Youth Cup quarter finals however he suffered a broken leg in Town`s 4-4 draw with Oxford United on Saturday and will miss approximately 2 months of action. Rigley impressed manager Paul Sturrock so much he was invited to travel with the first team to Boston 2 weeks ago.

Given the promise Rigley has shown prior to breaking his leg, Paul Sturrock has awarded him a new contract to continue his progress.

Sturrock also stated he has not seen enough of Caton to make a decision on his long term future with the club.
