Swindon Town continued their run of remaining undefeated at the County Ground with a hard fought match against the Milton Keyne Dons at the County Ground.

Town boss Paolo Di Canio named an un-changed starting XI from the team that had won earlier on in the week against Crawley Town.

Town played some smooth passing football and put several shots into the box in the first half.

Town got a stroke of luck when Dons Captain Dean Lewington was caught hitting Town midfielder Simon Ferry with an elbow. The referee confirmed with his assistant and an instant red card was shown. It was the fourth consecutive game that MK Dons have had someone sent off.

After the Lewington incident Matt Ritchie scored to give Town a 1-0 advantage going into the half time break although James Collins tried to claim the goal.

The result would remain 1-0 for Town despite several attempts from both sides.

Player Ratings

Wes Foderingham
Another clean sheet, once again not loads to do.

Joe Devera
Steady since replacing Paul Caddis.

Aden Flint
Doing his best to keep Troy Archibald-Henville out of the team. Cleared a guaranteed goal off the line.

Alan McCormack
Steady voice at the back, Had fans worried by lying on the ground for a couple of minutes with a back injury but carried on.

Jay McEveley
Steady left back but seemed to irritate Paolo Di Canio by not getting forward.

Matt Ritchie
Another great game and claimed the goal.

Simon Ferry
Should start every game, came close to scoring, NO Honestly he did!

Tommy Miller
Exactly what we need in midfield, controls the game well, similar to Jonathan Douglas in the playoff final season.

Raffaele De Vita
Absolutely Brilliant. A player I thought may leave the club in the summer has won me over.

James Collins
Desperate for a goal, claimed Ritchie’s goal!

Andy Williams
Once again great in the air and held the ball up well.

Alan Navarro
Brilliant once again when he came on.

Miles Storey
A little run out, not on pitch long enough to judge.

Manager Rating
I think Paolo got it right, he has learned not to change a winning team and he reaped the rewards. Got frustrated at times with his team not moving forward, hit the dugout a couple times which echoed throughout the County Ground.

Opponent Rating
Karl Robinson could not fill the bench due to 3 red cards in 3 games so far this season. That run continued with Lewington’s red. Put the best team he could out there.
