Swindon Town boss Paul Sturrock has called on the clubs current owners and prospective owners to conclude a deal now before the team suffers on the pitch.

Sturrock’s squad is suffering from a major injury crisis however Sturrock is not able to bring players into the club due to a transfer embargo which has been placed on the club due to unpaid bills.

The club are not allowed to sign or loan any players into the club until the £900,000 CVA which was due in the Summer is paid.

Andrew Fitton a Ramsbury based businessman has stated that the clubs current financial problems are not his concern until he gains control of the club.

Sturrock stated in his post match interview after the teams 2-1 loss against Leeds United that he is hopeful that both the new and old owners can sort out a deal before the loan window shuts in the next couple of weeks.

It is believed that a takeover could be completed as early as this week with Fitton paying all the clubs debts and taking over full control of the Football Club.

With Leeds situation over the last few years I can understand what fans of other clubs go through. You had a tremendous start to the season and this is now being undone by not being able to strengthen your squad when you are down to the bare bones with injuries. Sort it out at the Football League its the fans that suffer because of off field problems.

And us at Rotherham too. I agree with dazza, it’s the fans that suffer

Until the new owners take charge I cannot see anything happening sadly.
