Swindon Town’s initial bid for Celtic duo Paul Caddis and Simon Ferry has been rejected by the Scottish giants.

The bid for the pair is believed to be above £250,000 but after impressive pre-season showings, Swindon must produce a higher bid.

However it is not all doom and gloom, negotiations are still ongoing. Swindon haven’t given up and Celtic have not closed the door on the matter.

Simon Ferry was impressive for Celtic at the weekend which included a fine goal against Lincoln City.

The reality for Caddis and Ferry is that they are falling further behind the pecking order as Neil Lennon continues to sign players who operates within their positions. For example, Celtic have recently concluded deals for South Korean Ki Sung-Yong and Mexican Efrain Juarez.

Town still hope to conclude a deal this week.
