Anyone else think the match reports & TV commentary on the bizarre disallowed goal were some way from the truth?

In my mind there was no question that the town players were arguing that you can’t score straight from the throw in and the ref was telling them that you can. By the reaction of the players and the way they complained for almost 5 minutes you could see that this was the case.
The fact that the decision was finally changed by the 4th official intervening, and that the ref then gave a goal kick, proves it in my view. The ref clearly did not know the rules.
If, as claimed, the goal was disallowed for a push, then the 4th official would not have been allowed to step in like that, it is only in the case of an error in a point of law that they can do this.

Still, it matters not, Town didn’t take advantage of the let off, and didn’t muster anything you could call a threatening attack till the last 5 minutes. So much for the run of good form.
