Swindon Town’s acting Chief Executive has told BBC Radio Swindon that a deal to land a significant investor is getting closer by the day.
Starnes had said he remains as confident as he can be and that any deal would bring a significant boost to Swindon Town’s finances.
Speaking to BBC Radio Swindon Starnes stated, ‘I can understand fans not believing a deal will happen, there have been a number of disappointments.
‘Of course things can fall at the last hurdle but I’m as confident as anyone at this stage.
‘I understand the investment would be substantial and make a big difference to Swindon Town’s finances.’
A Fans consortium headed by former investor Bill Power is also aiming to talk to the club about taking over the clubs debts and paying the CVA due next month however no NDA has been signed.
The Fans Consortium has also promised to put a fan on the board however nothing new has been reported from either camp in regards to these negotiations as of late.
