Reading Striker Simon Cox has admitted he would be over the moon to sign for Swindon Town permanently.

Cox scored 9 goals during his loan spell at Town and told the clubs official website, ‘I was nearly in tears at the end there because I don’t really want to leave. The powers that be at Reading want me to go back and we shall see what happens. At the moment I think I’m going back to Reading for January.’

Cox told the official website should the chance come to join Swindon on a permanent deal he would be over the moon. ‘I would be over the moon to come back here’ Cox said ‘I have been playing every week and I have come here and scored in my first and my last game. In between hasn’t been bad either!”

Town fans have come to love the cocky striker who proclaimed if he did not start every game he would be banging on the managers office to demand why he wasn`t playing when he first arrived.

Town fans soon found out why he should play every game.

Let`s hope we get the transfer embargo lifted and we bring Coxy back to the County Ground to help us continue our push for a second successive promotion.

I’m not sure I believe him. He can say this just to make the fans like him even more as he knows most likely we won’t get him.
