Rumours are going around that Paul Sturrock has resigned as manager of Swindon Town to take up the vacant managers job at Plymouth Argyle.
The Daily Mail reporting that Sturrock has indeed left the County Ground.
The Daily Mail is also reporting that Sturrock may be named manager before Argyle’s match against Sheffield Wednesday.
We truly hope this is not true.

If this is true it makes Argyle and Paul Sturrock no better than Leicester and Ian Holloway. Is it true that people were not being paid at Swindon?
Players are being paid however a couple of months ago they were paid late.
Its this takeover I believe screwed us up with him, plus going to safe territory of Plymouth as some kind of replacement hero. Shame to see him go and will be difficult to replace but we said that about Wisey – there are few on the market now and hopefully our takeover is near completion – wipe the slate clean and start again.
Hey snafubar, it does make us as bad as Leicester but that’s life, we have been crapped on too many times in the past and just got on with life, remember the same happened to us when Sturrock left for Southampton. I’m personally very pleased that Argyle have started to treat others the same way as we have been treated.

Not everyone at Argyle will see this as a smart move…….safe for Stapleton maybe, who must be feeling the heat!
I think any manager is mad to go back – he will have high expectations to live up too, not always been a successful move when managers have gone back to old clubs. I don’t think he will go as I think he will want to see this campaign through.
