Swindon Town winger Matt Ritchie has been nominated for League Two player of the season after a string of impressive displays has seen his club sitting top of League Two.

Ritchie joined Town permanently last season from financially ruined Portsmouth for a non-disclosed fee.

Ritchie has attracted interest from teams in higher divisions due to his impressive displays, namely AFC Bournemouth who lodged significant six figure bids prior to the transfer window slamming shut.

Ritchie is Swindon`s top goal scorer and has been promised by Town boss Paolo Di Canio he can leave in the Summer should Town not get promoted.

PDC is truly a gent for letting him know he’s free to leave if we do not get promoted!
