The Oxford Mail have today confirmed that Oxford United have turned down a bid from Swindon Town for striker James Constable.

It is currently unknown how much Town have bid for the striker who ran rings around Swindon during our 2-1 loss to Oxford earlier in the season.

Whilst not naming the team who tabled the bid, Oxford United manager Chris Wilder told the Oxford Mail, “We have had an offer and it has been rejected.

“As I have said before, for any transfer to happen, all three parties have got to be in a agreement – the two clubs and the player.

Looks like this one is going to rumble on for the time being.
