Iffy Onuora has admitted that the team deserved to be dumped out of the FA Cup following a 4-1 thumping by Boston in the first round replay.

He said: ‘We paid the price for a poor first half in which we were second best all over the field. The sending-off of our goalkeeper was a factor. But it was the letter of the law and we were already a goal down. In the context of our recent results this defeat was something out of the blue. But as manager I have to take responsibility and I won’t hide from that. And there’s a lot to think about over the next 24 hours.’

Adding. ‘Being four goals down at half-time was hugely disappointing. I feel sorry for the fans who travelled with us.’

It looks like the season is just going from bad to worse as the Robins are also holding up the rest of the league in 24th position.
