Two former Swindon Town players have agreed contracts with new clubs after being released at the end of last season.

Former striker/midfielder Ashan Holgate who featured in one game for Swindon last season has joined Blue Square South side Weston Super Mare.

Weston manager Tony Ricketts spoke to the clubs official website and said ‘I’m delighted to have secured the signing of Ashan Holgate; he will give us pace up front, and he can play off both sides and also in central midfield. He is a very good addition to the squad and I have signed him to score goals; I`m sure he will use us as a stepping stone to get back into the league2

Holgate had been training with League One side Yeovil Town and League Two side Macclesfield prior to Paul Ince’s departure to MK Dons.
