Town midfielder Jon-Paul McGovern has joined Phil Smith in signing a new two year deal with the club.
Danny Wilson recently admitted that Scotsman was the clubs most improved player this season after two seasons filled with questionable performances.
However, it’s been a different story this season and has been rewarded for it with a two year extension.
McGovern has close to 100 league appearances for Swindon to his name since joining on a frantic Deadline Day in 2007 – a day that saw Simon Cox and Billy Paynter arrive at the club.
