Now that the takeover of Swindon Town is complete. It`s back to football and the search for a new manager. Leyton Orient manager Martin Ling is believed to be the favourite to succeed Paul Sturrock.
Ling is currently manager of Leyton Orient who have been near the top of the League One table all season and has previously stated that he wants to manage Swindon Town.
When linked to the job previously, Ling had said he was under contract to Orient and any approach would have to be made through the board.
Ling had tried to distance himself from the speculation by stating that Swindon needed to complete their takeover before worrying about signing him.
Now that the takeover is complete it is believed chairman designate Andrew Fitton will be making an approach for Leyton Orient`s manager.
Martin Allen, Mickey Adams, Joe Kinnear and Luc Nijholt have all declared an interest in the vacant Swindon managers job.

ling would be my first choice , just hope we can get him
We need someone soon as we are sliding towards the relegation zone at the moment
I think we need someone of the Paul Sturrock mould but with more flair, I did find him uninspiring at times but very shrewd. Martin Ling has done well in a few seasons, but he’s still new to it in my eyes.
Not my first choice manager
There’s probably better, and with no compensation to pay, available on the market…. I quite like the sound of Mickey Adams.
