Defender Steve Jenkins who was originally poised to sign a new one year deal at Swindon has been told, he will not be offered a new contract.
Capped by Wales on 16 occasions, Jenkins was able to offer advice to younger players.
It had been reported earlier that Jenkins would be staying at Swindon after being offered a new contract by then manager Iffy Onuora.
It now appears that Dennis Wise has looked through last years tapes and is deciding who should stay and go.
Jenkins originally joined Swindon on loan from Peterborough in the 2004/05 season under former manager Andy King.
Speaking to BBC Radio Swindon, Jenkins said he was dissapointed to be leaving the County Ground after he thought he had next season’s contract sorted out. He admitted nothing was in writing and it was all verbally agreed.

Again another unprofessional way to conduct buisness. I thought Jenkins would be good for nesxt season, feel sorry for him being messed about like that.
seems abit harsh on him really, but its bound to happen with wise coming in
cant argue with wise as jenkins was very inconsistant at times
So are some of the other ones that are being kept on or given new contracts. What player was consisitent last season?
