Former Swindon Town midfielder Paul Ince looks set to be named Manager of Macclesfield Town after the Silkmen announced a press conference on Monday.

Ince was at Macclesfield’s 3-2 loss to Bury on Saturday seen talking to the senior management team.

Ince has made it no secret he wishes to get into management and helping Macclesfield Town avoid relegation would go a long way to helping his future career get off the ground.

Macclesfield currently sit rock bottom in League 2 and have 4 points going into Saturday’s game.

The Guv’nor as Ince is known left Swindon Town last month, citing the distance from his Chester home was too much.

Macclesfield Town FC would like to announce that the club is aiming to hold a press conference on Monday to announce the new manager. In the meantime, Ian Brightwell will continue as Caretaker Manager, and will be in charge for the game at Bristol Rovers on Saturday
