On-Loan forward Ben Hutchinson has returned to his parent club Celtic after his loan contract expired.

The 22 year old failed to live up to any expectations during his stay at SN1 and was largely criticised by Swindon fans for his lack of effort during the limited chances he was given during his stay.

Hutchinson arrived along with midfielder Simon Ferry in late August and was immediately installed as Town’s first choice up front.

He made his debut in the 2-1 win over Southend United and remained first choice for the 1-0 win over Yeovil Town and then 1-1 draw with Colchester United.

A spell on the bench was followed by a final run as a starter. It was on his return that he scored his one and only goal for Town in the 3-2 away win at Brentford on October 3rd.

After the 2-0 home loss to Hartlepool United, Hutchinson was rarely used but when he was they were for high profile opposition (Norwich City and Fulham).

His final appearance was as a late substitute in the 3-1 home win over Gillingham.

Not a massive loss. Hopefully this will make way for a new signing.

Needs to get his head around what he wants ….. complete waste of wages here and glad to see the time- waster go. Use the money to get someone in whose head and priorities are in line.

He was a significant disappointment that’s for sure! I wonder who Wilson has lined-up.
