The Red Army fund was set up by Trust STFC and the Swindon Town Supporters Club to help raise funds to only be used on the playing squad.
No money donated to the RAF can be used for bills, black holes or anything other than the playing squad.
The operators of the Red Army Fund have already been in touch with the club to make them aware funds are available should the club not be able to afford the transfer fee.
