Former Swindon Town midfielder Paul Ince has been named boss of Premier League side Blackburn Rovers.

Ince only played 4 games at Swindon Town under former boss Dennis Wise however it began the beginning of his management career.

Ince was taking his coaching badges whilst at Swindon and worked alongside Wise on the coaching side of things at the County Ground.

Ince left The County Ground by mutual consent and joined League 2 side Macclesfield Town during the 2006/07 season and helps guide Macclesfield to League 2 safety.

The following season Ince headed south to become boss of MK Dons after Martin Allen left to join Leicester City.

Ince would win League 2 as well as win the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy last season.

Ince had been wanted by Leicester City to replace the sacked Ian Holloway however Ince has been scooped up by Blackburn Rovers, as the club hope to build on the success Mark Hughes has prior to leaving for Manchester City last month.

He deserves a chance at an higher level. He somehow managed to keep Macclesfield. He then won the League Two championship and JPT with MK Dons.
