Jean-Francois Lescinel looks set to leave Swindon Town.

The 24 year old was offered a new deal by the club but Town interim chairman Jeremy Wray has admitted that he expects the Haiti capped player to leave Wiltshire this summer.

Talking to the Advertiser, Wray stated that it ‘looks like he (Lescinel) will be going elsewhere… He has had offers from two clubs in higher divisions’.

Lescinel has been linked to Sheffield United due to Danny Wilson’s recent appointment. It was Wilson who brought Lescinel in back in 2009. During his career Jean-Francois Lescinel performed admirably during a period when he learned of the death of his younger sister in the Haiti earthquake.

He was voted Vital Swindon’s ‘Cult Hero’ of 2010.

He’s considered a bit of a ‘marmite’ player amongst the Town faithful. Many were keen to see Lecs remain while others considered him a liability despite his noted effort.
