Our national team, full of multi-millionaire ‘superstars’ are failing to fill the new national stadium so the Football Association have announced that they are going to slash ticket prices by as much as 25% for the rest of the season in order to fill in the worringly large amount of gaps that have appeared in recent fixtures.

Sure, it’s not got the history nor the general feeling of importance like the orginal Wembley Stadium had but it’s still worth a visit so you can at least have an opinion on the stadium and tick it off the list!

The fixtures in question

28/03/09: England vs. Slovakia (Friendly)

Watch Swindon at Yeovil instead, obviously!

01/04/09: England vs. Ukraine (WCQ)

10/06/09: England vs. Andorra (WCQ)

thefa.com states that tickets for the Slovakia game will be ‘£40 and £30 throughout the stadium. These new prices are a 25% reduction on last season`s equivalent prices’ and if you want to take the family ‘the number of family enclosure seats has been increased by 60% with tickets at £30 for adults and £15 for children’.

Call me a cynic, but for Slovakia, Ukraine and Andorra – I feel it’s probably still to expensive to entice the masses! I’ll probably be proved wrong though.
