Swindon Town manager Paolo Di Canio has been told to take as much time off as he needs following the sad news his mother had died prior to Swindon Town’s League Two clash with Plymouth Argyle.

Coincidentally, Di Canio’s father died prior to our away clash with Plymouth earlier on in the season.

Di Canio dedicated Town’s 2-1 win over Wigan Athletic to his father who died shortly before.

Di Canio was on the touchline for Town’s 1-0 over Argyle today but left immediately after the match to return to Italy to be with his family.

It is not yet known if Di Canio will return for Town’s match at Aldershot Town on Tuesday night where a draw would be enough to secure an instant return to League One.
