Swindon Town defender Miguel Comminges has until the weekend to accept his new and improved contract offer to remain at the County Ground.
Town boss Maurice Malpas told the Swindon Advertiser, ‘I will speak to Miguel and his agent today because it is D-Day for him, I need to know.
‘We need an answer by the weekend because I have to tell people about contracts and I have to start targeting players.’
Comminges has been a revelation in Wiltshire this season with his pace and flare and is now keen to play in the Championship.
Town boss Maurice Malpas ensured that Comminges was one of the first players he offered a new contract to and now a decision must be made one way or another.
Many Town fans are fearing the worst after Comminges has refused to sign the contract yet however he may be waiting to see if any teams at a higher level show interest.
Town boss Malpas is expected to tell all his players this week who will be staying and going at the end of the season.
