Midfielder Curtis Weston has been officially released from his contract at Swindon Town.

Weston had been begging for the club to release him which would allow him to sign with another club without worrying about a fee.

Weston who is the youngest player to play in an FA Cup final, joined Swindon last summer under former boss Dennis Wise but did not do enough to impress current manager Paul Sturrock.

Weston is now officially a free agent and is able to sign with another club.
