West Bromwich Albion have had a £2million bid for Simon Cox accepted by the club.

Now the Midlands club must convince Cox that a move to The Hawthornes is in his best interests (Cox has reservations about leaving his Berkshire home).

This might be a complicated deal in its early stages as Simon Cox is not represented by an agent and West Brom are currently managerless so whoever comes in could end the deal.

Cox has been a popular part of the Swindon set-up since joining from Reading. He has scored an impressive 48 times in 88 competitive fixtures for The Robins.

I shall keep you updated on further developments…
