Corr Town Future in Doubt

In an interview for the Evening Advertiser, Swindon Town manager Danny Wilson has admitted that he fears the worst for Irish striker Barry Corr’s Town career after suffering yet another injury.

Corr dislocated his left shoulder for the second time in less than a year while playing against Stockport County this week. This sadly came as no suprise to Swindon fans as we have witnessed this throughout his years at the club. Highly influential when fit one can only contemplate how things could have been had Corr stayed injury free for longer spells.

Corr, who is out of contract in the summer, has been warned that a new deal will only emerge if he shrugs off this latest injury quickly.

You can only feel sorry for the guy. However, it cannot go on like this.

This is pretty muich the end of his career you fear. Sad for him, but we cant afford to keep him when he only lasts a few games at a time

if he could stay fit im sure he could play at higher level but how many times have we seen him injured ?

If I’m right in thinking his contract expires in the summer then I’m pretty certain that his STFC career is over.
Yes, it’s disappointing. He showed potential and moments of class in various games but no player is bigger than the club and life goes on….
Hopefully our medical staff can nurse him back to health and help him out in everyway possible but I fear, and feel, that his future lies away from the professional game.
If he were to join Supermarine for instance, I’d die and go to heaven knowing all is well with the world.

Hahaha. Corr is struggle to find a club, IF he’s let go. Supermarine could be his only option if he stays local!!!
