Adam Birchall looks set reject a move to Swindon Town.
Swindon, Wimbledon and Gillingham have now all had bids accepted and it’s believed that the latter is firmly in the driving seat.
Birchall was managed by Gillingham manager Andy Hessenthaler at Dover while he is believed to be keen to remain in the Maidstone area as his wife is expecting their child.
The forward has confirmed that he wishes to talk to all three clubs but Di Canio’s designated deadline of midnight has been and gone.
Back to the drawing board (again).
