Swindon Town defender Andy Nicholas will miss Saturday’s match at Northampton due to a stress fracture in his heel.

Swindon Town Physio Dick Mackey told the Official Swindon Town website, ‘Andy Nicholas has a stress facture of his heel bone and had an assessment on the injury at the end of last week.

‘He had an ultrasound scan which revealed the fracture and we are hoping that the two weeks rest from running will have had a dramatic effect on his recovery and that he will be back in training next week.’

Nicholas is the club’s longest serving player having played for Town since 2003 after arriving from Premiership side Liverpool.
