Swansea City striker Adebayo Akinfenwa is expected to give a decision today whether he will join Swindon Town next season according to the Western Daily Press.

Akinfenwa has been locked in talks with Swindon Town boss Paul Sturrock over a move to the County Ground.

The powerful striker had scored 14 goals during his Swansea career that lasted over the last 2 seasons. Akinfenwa joined Swansea from Torquay United who were at the time relegated from League One after scoring 14 goals for the relegated side.

Akinfenwa is keen to move closer to London however Town will be fighting off an offer from rivals Gillingham. Akinfenwa has a house in Bristol and said that a move to the County Ground was appealing to him. The former Swansea striker would be a fantastic pairing with Barry Corr who recently signed from Championship side Sheffield Wednesday.
