Poole Town striker Charlie Austin will have another chance to impress Danny Wilson tonight. The Town boss is set to attend Poole Town’s clash with Bournemouth Poppies this evening as he makes a decision on whether to sign the prolific Non-League frontman.

Austin scored for Swindon in the reserves last week and was attracting the interest of League Two outfit Bournemouth but they were forced to end their interest due to a transfer embargo placed on the club.

Wilson told the Swindon Town website that Austin ‘may have a little bit of a chance because he has a fantastic goalscoring record… You tend to find that goalscorers can score at most levels.”

As far as permanent strikers are concerned, Wilson only has Billy Paynter match fit with loan forwards Ben Hutchinson, Simon Revell and Tope Obadeyi as other options. Austin could be the replacement for Obadeyi when he returns to Bolton Wanderers next month.
