Swindon Town are set to make Crystal Palace Goalkeepers loan a permanent transfer in January.

Crystal Palace manager Dougie Freedman has confirmed that Palace are keen to cash in on Foderingham as he has fallen further down the pecking order at Selhurst Park

Speaking to the South London Press Freedman said, ‘Swindon have made contact and want to buy Wes – we’re in negotiations and are looking to do something.

‘Julian Speroni’s form has been back to its best this season and Lewis Price is pushing him heavily with his performances – so all of a sudden I’ve got two keepers in the building and Wes is a little further away then he was.

‘It makes sense to take some money, get a sell-on and let the kid go and play some football.”

Foderingham has had an immense spell between the sticks at Swindon and has kept 8 clean sheets since his arrival.

The news of Wes signing permanently will be a massive boost for Town and their supporters who continually chant “sign him up!”

Foderingham teased Town fans prior to Christmas by tweeting “I have a feeling I am going to make a lot of people happy over Christmas”.

We are very happy indeed sir, should the deal be finalised.
